Red Thread

There is a red thread running through everyday things to materialise time in a perceptible form. I sew to repair the damage, to put unconnected things together, to join the visible to the invisible so that the units come together again. I sew to weld seemingly impossible unions, to heal conflicts, bring worlds together, heal wounds in the soul, rebuild connections and relationships otherwise lost.

Things, when they are tied up, stand up better, they may be a little limited in their movements, but they reveal aspects of their form and possibilities of interpretation that were not seen before. They highlight a space that already existed, but was not seen like this. When one realises that space can be different, the way in which one feels and experiences the other fundamental dimension of our life, which is time, also changes.
